Meets FAA Requirements For Night Time Operations
DroMight strobe lights were designed to meet the FAA’s requirements for anti collision lighting. The purpose of anti collision lighting is to increase the safety of your drone operations at night. To meet these requirements, DroMight uses powerful 3 watt strobe lights that can be seen from at least 3 statute miles on a clear night.
Reduce The Chance of a Crash
A great secondary purpose for these lights is to help pilots easily see the orientation of their aircraft during the day as well as at night. Typically, while in flight, drone pilots will rotate their drone to capture the pictures or videos they need. When the drone is rotated in flight, the pilot can lose track of the orientation of the aircraft making it harder to maneuver the drone because the controls are changed relative to the position of the pilot.
Rechargeable Built in Battery
DroMight strobe lights have built in batteries that require no external power source, with a battery life that exceeds 2 hours of continuous operation. To charge the lights, you simply plug in a micro USB cable such as the DroMight four port charger.
Three Piece Design
DroMight strobe lights are unique because they are fully enclosed in plastic housing with mounts made specifically for your drone. The strobe lights are encased in a pod that is detachable from the rest of the mount allowing you to easily take them off for charging, or swap colors. The mounts are positive locking and require no tools for installation making them more secure than loop and hook fasteners. There is even a colored button that matches the color of the strobe light so that you can easily identify the color of the light.
Lightweight With No Effect on Flight Time
Every minute of flight time counts. DroMight strobe lights have no measurable effect on the flight time of your drone because they are super lightweight. A set of two strobe lights with the mounts weigh less than 30 grams.
Multiple Color Options
DroMight strobe lights are available in 4 colors: red, white, green, and blue. All of the colors (except for blue) meet the anti collision requirements. While the Blue light does not meet the requirements, it is great for helping the pilot see the orientation of their drone.
